Scanning
Cruse Scanner
DPI's state-of-the-art Cruse Scanner was specifically built for the capturing of fine art, and our recent technological upgrades ensure that it is the best Cruse Scanner in the country for this purpose. Some of the benefits of a Cruse Scan are that it creates a first-generation digital scan, produces razor-sharp scans every time and offers touch-free scanning. Additional features include: Special lighting modes, which accurately capture the surface texture, color and subtle nuances of the original art. It scans artwork up to 48" x 72" x 4" without the need for seaming, and can produce digital files with a maximum resolution of 10,000 x 15,000 pixels and from 20mb to 1.06GB. A fixed, overhead light source illuminates the art evenly, eliminating dark corners and surface glare often seen in photographic processes. It even scans images that are framed and under glass!
Cezanne Elite Transparency Scanner
Used for 35mm Slide Film up to 13x19 Transparencies - The Cezanne Elite Scanner produces an extremely high-quality digital scan capable of producing a file that is useable for fine art reproduction purposes. In addition, our color technicians clean up and color-correct the file to the color bar and gray scale shown on the transparency and/or for a basic overall match to the transparency as viewed on our light box. Note: The resulting scan is considered a "raw" scan and would require a Color Prep Package before printing reproductions. The CD/DVD cost is included.
